This year the provincial government of Albay thru the effort of Gov. Jose Salceda and local government unit of Daraga launch the first ever CAGSAWA FESTIVAL . The month long celebration started last February 1 until 29 . They have many different activities that will highlight the festival and one of this is the first ever "CAGSAWA: THEATRICAL COMPETITION" held last night (February 27, 2012) at Daraga covered court.

One of the participants in this competition is the Bicol University College of Arts and Letters Speech and Theater Arts Second Year students.

Instead of performing the old style of play they used a different style combining the old style and the shadow play with live music.

And also the author of the first  story book of cagsawa is the chairman of the board of judges.

The first runner up goes to Bicol University , it's ok because that's the first time we joined a competition and we just prepare  for only two weeks during our vacant time  because we were also busy in other productions . KUDOS TO US !!!
